Tell me about Short-Stay Host cover?

Designed for Short-Stay Hosts

If you’ve put your place on booking platforms like Airbnb, Stayz and, you might not be covered against guest-related risks and liability. That’s where we come in.1

Sits alongside your Home & Contents Policy

ShareCover sits alongside your Home & Contents Insurance policy, as that policy may not cover you for damage or loss resulting from acts or omissions of guests renting or sharing your property.

Platform guarantees are different

Whilst many recognised booking platforms provide guarantees for hosts renting their property, this is not the same as insurance and may not provide cover for all instances of property damage incurred during a guest’s stay.

Cover for as long (or as little) as you need

We offer pay-per-night policy options for stays between 1 – 90 nights, as well as a 12 month set and forget policy option.

Help protect against guest-related risk

Guests don’t always treat a place like their own. We offer cover against theft or attempted theft (up to $25,000), vandalism or malicious damage by a guest.

Up to $10 million in liability cover included

We offer protection against claims made against you for guest-related injury or death, or guest-related damage to someone else’s property.

Worst case, we’ll put you up

If your home can’t be lived in after a covered event, we provide cover for temporary accommodation (subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions)2.

Cover on your level

Choose the sum insured for your building up to $2 million and contents up to $500k, with up to $10m of liability cover included.

Sits alongside your Home & Contents insurance

Use in combination with any existing Home & Contents insurance policy.

Covers multiple bookings

You’ll be covered for an unlimited number of bookings during the chosen policy term. The skies are the limit.

Pay-per-night option

Only pay for the nights you need with our Pay-per-night option. Just select the nights of cover you need for up to 90 nights, which can include multiple bookings during the desired policy term.
