Rideshare hire vehicle

Get back on the road in a rideshare ready vehicle.

We know it’s important for you to continue earning income as a rideshare driver if your vehicle is damaged by an event we cover under your policy. That’s why we’ve partnered with RAV to provide you a rideshare ready hire vehicle while your vehicle is being repaired.

What type of vehicle do we provide?

We'll do our best to supply a comparative vehicle where possible, within the categories of:

  • Family hatchback
  • Family Saloon
  • Mid/Large SUV

The hire vehicle provided will be pre-registered and approved on the Uber platform across all cities and for DiDi or any other platform, RAV will provide you with the documents required to onboard the vehicle.

What hire vehicle costs do we cover?

We will pay up to a maximum of $100 per day (to a maximum of 1,000 kilometres per week) for hire of a replacement vehicle and a maximum of $2,000 in total for any excess and or security bond payable under the hire car agreement because there is loss or damage to the hire car or it causes loss or damage.

What do you need to bring when picking up a hire vehicle?

  • Drivers licence
  • Credit card
  • Utility bill (to show your place of residence).

How long will a hire vehicle be provided for?

Rideshare hire vehicle after a not at fault incident or theft

This cover is included in our RideCover Comprehensive policy.

We will cover the necessary costs of hire of a replacement vehicle from the date of the incident to the earliest of:

  • the date your vehicle is repaired; or
  • when we settle the claim.

Rideshare hire vehicle after at fault incident

You can select this cover as an add on to your RideCover Comprehensive policy.

We will cover the necessary costs of hire of a replacement vehicle from the date of the incident to the earliest of:

  • the date your vehicle is repaired;
  • when we settle the claim; or
  • 14 days from the date you first hired the vehicle.
